We are writing the third millennium. The earth has become uninhabitable. People had to look for new space habitats. Researchers have found resources on distant planets and people have begun to colonize those planets.
The planets of DarkOrbit are ruled by three powerful companies that try to own the raw materials themselves in order to strengthen their power and influence.

At the beginning of the space shooter DarkOrbit you are a spaceship pilot with a small spaceship. You have to decide. What company do you want to work: for the Mars Mining Operations (MMO), the Earth Industries Corporation (EIC) or the Venus Resources Unlimited (VRU)?
Once you decided you must give everything for your company in order to achieve supremacy in the universe. Throughout the game you will upgrade your ship until you have turned it into a humongous, feared battleship.
With your mighty battleship you are going on conquest in space. Your enemies will try anything to stop you. Everywhere you will encounter aliens and opponent players whom you'll fight against in spectacular space battles.
Solve challenging quests, find treasures, own more and more DarkOrbit uridium and explore the universe with your DarkOrbit drones. Form alliances with other players to increase your power as a clan and in combat and defeat your enemies with your unified space fleet.
