Rappelz – Fierce Creatures

Rappelz will not leave you alone in its dangerous environment. Instead you can catch and train wild animals and monsters to follow you as pets. Rappelz has lots of different creatures to choose from, from simple turtles and panthers all the way to angels, demons and even dragons. Finding a rare beast can take some time, but it sure is worth it for its extra powers. Your creatures will level up next to you, earn skills of their own and even evolve into stronger versions of their old selves. Some you can even breed with other creatures and create completely new beats to follow you around. There’s almost no limits to this system, and picking the right pet for your character allows you to totally customize your playing style.

Rappelz – Fighter, Mage or Rogue?

Rappelz gives you three races to choose from for your player character. Asura, Deva and Gaia may not look too different – they’re all more or less human-like – but they differ vastly in their jobs and classes. Asura for example are all about aggression and damage, whereas Deva are more into heals and defense. Gaia tend towards balanced classes. You will evolve your character from one of three base jobs that focus either on close combat, magic or pet control, eventually taking another job to boost your skills. With 27 specializations to choose from, you’ll certainly find the play-style that is right for you.

Rappelz – Dungeon Siege, MMO-Syle

If you’re a PvP person, Rappelz is your game! In true asia-style, there’s even the old school open-world player-killing, complete with red flags and penalties for mass murderers. If you don’t want that, you can always opt for a non-open-pvp server. That’ll still give you access to the most exciting action in Rappelz, which is guild versus guild battles on a massive scale. Every week, your guild can challenge another for control of the epic dungeons, complete with fat bosses and even fatter loot. A guild can take control of such a dungeon for a week and then has to defend its territory on the weekend in a huge fight against any challengers. This gives meaning to pvp, something lacking in the random battles that many other MMORPGs offer.
