The role playing game The West takes you into the time of the settlement of western North America. As a greenhorn with bad equipment you try to make a few dollars first by doing simple jobs. The first wages are best invested directly into the improvement of your equipment or your abilities.
With better abilities and high-quality equipment you can take more jobs and gain higher rewards. There are innumerable available tasks in the browser game, many are activated only later in the game. In the saloon you receive tasks from settlers and Indians, which help you progress in the story.
Soon you can specialize your character and determine special abilities. Select between soldier, worker, adventurer or duelist and embark on your search for adventures, luck and gold. Everywhere in the world you meet other players, some of which challenge you to duels. Here you can determine your actions tactically to defeat the opponent.
You can also unite with other players and create a city or join an existing city. Expand your city in co-operation with the other city dwellers, in order to receive better goods from the merchant and to attract more guests. You can prove your collected combat arts and your tactical skills in the fort-battles with over 100 players.
